A Valentine

Hi! Can you believe that tomorrow is New Years Eve? Before we know it Valentine's Day will be here. So tonight I have a Valentine to share with you. I love this image. It is a new stamp from Wags 'N Whiskers December 2009 release and is called "Bubble Fun". When I was in AC Moore the other day I saw a package of craft buttons that contained this blue glittery heart button and thought that it would be so cute on a card using this image. Now I am wishing that I had picked up a couple more packages to have to use on my other Valentines.

I used the following 4 challenges when creating this card:

Wags 'N Whiskers: Punches or Dies (Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch & EK Success 1 3/8" Circle Punch)

Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes

Pixie Cottage: Button It (Dress It Up Button ~ Blue Heart)

Supplies: Wags 'N Whiskers Bubble Fun Stamp, Dress It Up Buttons ~ Jesus Loves You, Studio G Stamp ~ Series 29 (sentiment), Studio G Glitter Glue, Offray Kendra White/Opal Ribbon, EK Success 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch, Light Blue Cardstock & White Cardstock

My 1st Easel Card

I finally made an easel card!! YEAH! I have been wanting to for some time now and I finally sat down today and made one. This card uses sketch #9 in The Greeting Farm's 12 Days of Sketches Challenge. The image that I chose to use on this one is one from the Miss Anya Dressy stamp set. There is one thing on my card that I wished I had done a little different. The gem that is holding the card open is way to small. Don't get me wrong it does it's "job" and holds the card open but it's just not strong enough. You have to play with it a little bit to get it to stay put and if you even slightly touch the card...it closes. But I guess that would be one of those things you have to figure out by trial and error....lol...

I made this card using the following challenges:
The Greeting Farm: 12 Days of Sketches: Sketch #9
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes
Supplies: The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Dressy Stamp Set, Frances Meyer Pink School Skirt Patterned Paper, Fiskars Clear Stamp Set ~ Birthday (sentiment), Offray Kendra White/Opal Ribbon, Bazzill Basics Paper ~Piglet, Golden Yellow Cardstock, Light Pink Cardstock & Golden Yellow Gemstones.
hugs,

Happy Birthday Tracy!

I made this card for my hubby's 37th birthday. (Which is today). It took me a little while to figure out what to put on the card but then I remembered that I had this Dustin Pike digital stamp, BBQ Dragon, tucked away. This was the perfect image to use on his birthday card. My hubby is a chef at heart (and a really good one at that).
I created this card using the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes

Supplies: Dustin Pike BBQ Dragon Digital Stamp, Red Cardstock, Cream Cardstock, Sage Cardstock & Fiskars Clear Stamp Set ~ Birthday

My Best Project of 2009?

As part of the blog hop at The Stamp Man you were asked to award your best project of 2009 and link it back to them here. It was very difficult to choose my "best project" of 2009. But I finally narrowed it down to this card.

Digital-Ink Co New Beginnings Challenge

Good Morning. Today a new challenge has been set on the Digital-Ink Co Challenge Blog. Today I was paired up with Reece's Designs. The image that I used is called "Standin Pretty". This image is available for purchase at the Digital-Ink Co store for just $1.50 during the month of December(orig. price $3.00). And while you are there check out the rest of April's gorgeous stamps.

If you look closely to the shoes and the belt on the image you can see that I colored them in gold and then added glitter to make them sparkle. Every celebration needs a little bit of sparkle to it. And what better to celebrate than the starting of a new year. I'm not usually one to set New Year's Resolutions because I'm usually the last one to keep them. LOL. But I think I'll join in on the fun this year. So here goes, here are my New Year's Resolutions for 2010:

1. To loose some weight.....I know everyone sets this one every year. And this will definitely be my hardest resolution to keep. I have a hard time when it comes to sweets.

2. To get my Christmas shopping done early this year..... This way I can enjoy the Christmas season even more by getting rid of the stress of last minute shopping.

3. To spend more time as a family. Right now we have a weekly family movie night. But last night my kiddos and I sat down and played Monopoly (my hubby had to work) and we had a blast. So I think that I need to incorporate a few more family nights into our schedule.

and on a crafty note:

4. To get caught up on my kids scrapbooks. I kinda took a "break" from working on them while I got my Christmas cards done. Now I realize that this was a bad choice because I fell way behind in getting them done.

5. To try at least one new technique each month in some area of my cardmaking/scrapbooking.

Now, on a sad note. This is my last challenge as part of the Digital-Ink Co DT. I am definitely going to miss being part of the DT with these amazing girls. But I will be back to join in as a challenger. I can't wait to see what the girls have in store for us next.

Now, to find out more about this weeks challenge head on over to the Digital-Ink Co Challenge Blog. Can't wait to see what you all come up with. Oh yeah! Hope you and your families all have a Happy New Year!!! God Bless!

Supplies: Reece's Designs Standin Pretty Digital Stamp, Offray Kendra Old Gold Ribbon, Clear Gemstones, Studio G Glitter Glue, Black Cardstock & Gold Foil.

Merry Christmas

Hi! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas day and that everyone got what they wished for this year. I wanted to share a few pictures of today.

My 6 year old when she first spotted the tree and what Santa left:

My 11 year old just discovered his newest "toy":

This:

My sister is learning to crochet and she made them both a hat:

This is what my daughter made me for Christmas:

She took a paper towel roll, a pair of her gloves & a rubber band. She attatched the gloves to the papertowel roll using the rubber band. When I opened it up this morning she told me that it was for my cards. When I make my cards and the glue is still wet, all I need to do is wave this over the card a few times and it will help it dry faster. What a smartie! Now if it would only work!!

She said that it also doubles as a fan when I get hot. LOL....

MERRY CHRISTMAS! GOD BLESS!
