2 Sisters Challenge ~ Teddy Bear Picnic

The challenge this week at 2 Sisters is to create a card or project with the theme teddy bear picnic. We are being sponsored again this week by two amazing companies. Stamp Fairy and Inky Impressions. The image I used is from Stamp Fairy and is called Thank You 5.

The base of my card is lavender rosebuds patterned paper backed in purple palisades cardstock. I punched a strip of purple palisades using an eyelet border punch (from Martha Stewart Crafts) and added a light blue sheer ribbon across the middle of it. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I cut it out in a circle and backed it first in purple palisades and then again in lily pond cardstock. I added three purple paper roses to the upper left side of the image. I added frosted lace stickles to the edges of each petal on the roses. I also added it to the center of each flower in the image. To the right side of the card I added a bow made out of the same ribbon, a purple gem and white pearl hat pin. On the end of the hat pin is a purple heart gem charm. I also added a butterfly punched out of the lily pond cardstock and added two purple rhinestones to the center. At the bottom of my card I stamped "Get Well Soon" and added green rhinestones to both sides of the sentiment.

Love Is You And Me

I made this card for the anything goes challenge at I Did It Creations. I used this adorable image from Digi With Attitude called Tabatha And Tony. Part of the I Did It Creations challenge blog is if you see an image that the DT has used on their cards that week and you want to use it for the challenge, all you have to do is request it and they will send it to you. How cool is that!!! So thanks again girls for this amazing cutie. I hope you like what I did with it.

The sketch that I used is from this week's sketch and/or cute challenge at The Pixie Cottage. The patterned paper that I used on my card is called Feminine Delight. I used that as the base of my card backed in berry blush cardstock. I punched a strip of berry blush using an eyelet lace border punch (from Martha Stewart Crafts) and added a pink ribbon to the top of the strip of cardtock and added it across the middle of the card. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I cut it out into an oval, backed it in berry blush and added it to the center of my card. I layered a pink paper daisy, pink paper flower and a green paper flower and added it to the upper left corner. I added a pink rhinestone to the center of the flower and then added three more in the upper right corner and one in each bottom corner. I then added the sentiment "love is you and me" just under the image.

I made this card using Wonder from Mo's Digital Pencil. The sketch that I used is from this week's challenge at The Sweet Stop. The spin on the challenge this week is to think spring. The challenge at Mo's Challenges is to create a card using spring colors with handmade flower embellishments. I made the flowers by punching 6 daisies out of pink cardstock. I lightly inked the tips of each petal with a slightly darker ink pad. I then folded each petal in half and layered all six daisies. I finished it off by adding a blue pearl to the center and a leaf in behind the flower.

Karen's Doodles Pyramid Card

This week's challenge at Karen's Doodles Netherlands is to create a pyramid card. This is my first attempt at making a pyramid card. The image I used is Love At First Bite. The base of my card is cream cardstock. I sponged lavender ink over the entire card. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and then cut it out. I punched butterflies out of pastel green, pastel pink and pastel purple cardstock. I added off white pearls to the center of each butterfly. I also added a three paper flowers purple, raspberry and coral and added a pearl to the center of each. I didn't take a picture of the other two sides (sorry forgot to) but each side has more of the butterflies added to it out of the same colors.

For the make your own embellishment challenges at Fab N Funky Challenges and Simon Says Stamp, I made the flower embellishments on my card by punching a daisy from sassy cardstock, another from raspberry cardstock and a mini daisy from cream cardstock. Happy Valentine's Day

I made this valentine card using Bon Voyage Tilda. I colored the image using prisma and crayola colored pencils. I cut the image out in an oval and created a background with chalk so Tilda had something to sit on. It's hard to tell in this picture but all the white background is embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots). The strip of cardstock behind the image was created by stamping hearts using two different shades of pink on a piece of white cardstock. The rhinestones that I added are light pink.

Stationary Box Set

I made this stationary box set using a tutorial that I found on Splitcoast Stampers. This is the very first one that I have made. I made it to give to my cousin who will be having a birthday on Monday.
I created the box base using rose stripe patterned paper. The cover is created using vintage pink cardstock. Across the front of the cover I added a strip of vintage roses patterned paper. To finish off the outside of the box I punched a heart out of mauve ice cardstock and backed it in vintage pink cardstock. Then I added a white victorian heart button to the center of the heart.
This is what the inside of the box looks like. The address book is glued right into the box so that it won't fall out when it is opened and closed. I created it by cutting down some lined paper to size and placing between two pieces of cardstock. I attatched them together with 3 brads. I realized when I was fixing this photo that I still have to put the pen in. If you look above the address book that there is a paper loop where the pen goes. The little pocket to the right of the address book is for stamps.
There is also 4 cards (2 of each style), a bookmark and 2 3x3 notecards
For the bookmark I used mauve ice as the base and punched at the bottom using an eyelet lace border punch. I cut a small strip of vintage rose patterned paper and backed it in vintage pink. Then added it just above the punched bottom. I punched three butterflies out of vintage pink and added white pearls to each of them and added them up the bookmark. I finished off the bookmark by adding three more pearls to the bottom right corner. I kept the notecards simple. I created them out of mauve ice and cut a smaller square out of vintage pink. I stamped thanks on the bottom right corner and added a butterfly punched out of mauve ice and added white pearls.
For the first card I created the base using mauve ice. To the top of the card I added a strip of vintage rose patterned paper. I added a punched a strip of vintage pink using the eyelet lace border punch and added it to the bottom of the vintage rose paper. I added a piece of pink ribbon across the card to cover up where the two pieces come together. I added a butterfly punched out of mauve ice and added white pearls to it and to the upper right corner. I stamped hello to the bottom right corner. I created a second card just like this one.
For the second card I created the base using mauve ice and added the strip of vintage rose down the side of the card backed in vintage pink. I punched the edge of the vintage pink using the eyelet border punch. I added a piece of pink ribbon and bow to the top of the vintage rose paper. I added Hello to the bottom right corner and white pearls to the bottom left corner.
I am entering this stationary gift set to the following challenges:
