Square at 2 Sisters

What a crazy week this has been. From doctors appointments to school open houses I've just had no time do be crafty or even get to my posting.  So yet again my challenge post is late this week.  Maybe things will slow down once school starts for my kiddos next week.  Well, I guess better late than never.  Here is my card for this week's square card challenge at 2 Sisters.  There is still time to enter.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I created this Christmas card using Elisabeth Bell's Lil Lynda's Piano Forte digital stamp. I started with a light blue card base and added a piece of white card stock cut just slightly smaller.  I added light blue dot patterned paper to the top half and blue floral patterned paper to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir pens. I backed the image in light blue and then again in white and added it to the center top of the card.  I punched and layered a strip of white card stock and a piece of light blue card stock using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape and added it just below the image.  To create the flower I layered a light blue paper flower onto a white paper flower and added a glitter snowflake to the center.  I also added two silver bells hanging from the flower.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and backed them in light blue card stock.  I added 3 snowflake pearls to the upper corner by the image.

Happy Tilda

I created this card using Happy Tilda from Magnolia Stamps.

I started with a kraft card base and added a piece of blue card stock cut just slightly smaller than the base.  I cut a piece of blue dotted patterned paper and punched corner pieces out of blue using an eyelet lace corner punch.  Then I backed it in kraft card stock. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in blue and then kraft.  I layered a light blue paper flower onto a white paper flower and added a white pearl to the center.  Then I punched 3 butterflies out of blue card stock. I added 3 pearls to the center of each butterfly and added crystal stickles to each one.  I finished the card by adding 5 white pearls beside the image.

Howdy

I created this 4" x 9" birthday card using Howdy from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I started with a white card base and added a piece of pink plaid glitter paper to the top and a pie of floral white vellum backed in pink card stock to the bottom.  A little over half way down the plaid I added another piece of floral white vellum that I backed in white card stock.  I punched two strips of white card stock using an eyelet lace border punch and added them to both the top and bottom of the pink and vellum strip.  I layered a pink dotted brown ribbon on top of a pink ribbon and added it to the top of the white and vellum strip.  I stamped the birthday sentiment "wishing you a special day to celebrate your birthday!" to the white backed vellum piece.  I colored a large white paper flower using Spectrum Noir PP3 pen then layered a smaller white paper flower onto it with a pink flower button in the center.  I added the flower to the ribbon. I added 5 snowflake white pearls to the bottom of the card and crystal stickles to the image.

Birthday Card

This week's challenge at 2 Sisters Challenges is ANYTHING GOES.  To create my card I used this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp that was free in a magazine I just purchased.

To create my card I started with a kraft card base and layered a blue floral patterned paper on the top half of the card and a blue dot patterned paper on the bottom half of the card.  The patterned papers were also a free gift with the magazine.  I added a piece of kraft card stock and punched the bottom edge using an eyelet lace border punch.  I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape to the top of the piece of kraft card stock.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in light blue, kraft and then white.  I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and backed that in light blue and then kraft and added it to the bottom corner of the image.  I added 3 baby blue rhinestones to the upper corner of the image and crystal stickles to the center of the flower on her headband.  I then punched 3 butterflies out of light blue card stock and 3 more out of white and layered a blue onto a white.  I added crystal stickles to the butterflies and mini clear rhinestones to the center of each one.

Butterfly Princess

Hi everyone! I just realized that I never posted my DT card for this week's challenge at 2 Sisters.  Better late than never right? There's still time to enter this week's challenge which is to use the following sketch....

Here is my card using Butterfly Princess from Saturated Canary.

Mary

To create this card I started with a 5" x 5" card base.  To the base I added a layer of dark pink card stock, then a piece of white card stock cut slightly smaller, followed by a piece of pink plaid glitter card stock cut a litter smaller than the white.  I cut a strip of white card stock and punched the edge using an eyelet lace border punch and added it to the card.  I cut a piece of pink card stock just slightly lighter than the pink I added to the base and backed it in white before adding it to the card.  I colored the image using spectrum noir pens and backed it in dark pink card stock and then again in white.  I punched a small butterfly out of the plaid card stock and added it to the bottom of her braid.  I punched 3 butterflies out of white card stock and added them onto the pink card stock beside the image. I added pretty in pink rhinestones to the center of each butterfly and added crystal stickles to finish off the butterflies.  I added 3 pretty in pink rhinestones to the corner just under the image and 3 more beside the image.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
