2 Sisters Challenge ~ Anything Goes

This week at 2 Sisters we are being sponsored by two amazing sponsors.  Glitterbabe & Crafty Sentiments. The image I used is from Crafty Sentiments and is called Charles Camping.  Our challenge this week is.....
ANYTHING GOES!!

To create my card I used the sketch from Pixie Cottage.  The base of my card is blue, backed in tan and then backed again in red.  I cut a strip of tan cardstock and punched it using a double scalloped punch.  I added a thin red ribbon to the center of it and added it to the bottom of my card. I cut a square out of red and backed it in tan and placed it at a diagnal on the right side of the card. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I added blue chalk to color in the sky and green to color in the grass.  I backed it in blue and then in tan and added it to the right side of the card.  I backed the sentiment in red and then in tan and added it to the left side of the card.

A Distressing Birthday

I created this birthday card for the distressing challenge at Mo's Digital Challenge. The sketch that I used is from this month's challenge at CLP Challenges. The base of my card is 5x5 out of mocha divine cardstock.  I cut a piece of berry blush the same size as the card and distressed it by ripping and curling all four edges.  Then I added brown ink to all four edges. I added this piece on top of the card base.  I cut a small rectangle out of a pink fancy swirl patterned paper and added brown ink to all four edges of it.  I punched a piece of white cardstock using an eyelet lace border punch.  I added brown ink to the punched edge and added it to the piece of patterned paper.  Then I added it to the left side of the card.  I added a piece of brown ribbon down the middle of the patterned piece.  I cut a small piece out of mocha divine and added it to the right side of the card in the middle.  The image I used is called Baby Fairy Flora. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I added brown in to the edges and added it to the middle of the card.  I added crystal stickles to the fairy's wings.
I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and tore and curled the edges. I added brown ink on all four edges.  I added a pink paper flower to the bottom right corner. Before adding the flower to the card I added brown ink around the edges and lightly in the middle of it.  I also added a cream colored pearl to the center of the flower. I added three cream colored pearls to the bottom left corner and three to the top right corner.

2 Sisters Challenge ~ How Does Your Garden Grow?

This week at 2 Sisters our challenge is called HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?.  We are being sponsored by Patties Creations who gave the design team some beautiful images to work with.  The image I used is called Tulips Vase.
To create my card I used the sketch from Mojo Monday.  Each piece of my card is white cardstock that has been inked using a purple chalk ink pad.  I used an eyelet lace punch to punch around the image and the strip under the image.  I added a purple ribbon to the top of the strip across the bottom of the image.  The image is colored using crayola colored pencils.  I punched butterflies out of white and inked them with the same purple chalk ink pad I used on the rest of the card. I glued 2 of the butterflies together and added two light purple rhinestones to the center of each.  I bent the wings of the top one up and added glitter to both layers.  I added one to the top right corner of the card and one to the bottom left corner of the image.  I added 3 light purple rhinestones to the bottom left corner of the card. I stamped the sentiment onto the bottom right corner.

Birthday Bug

I created this birthday card using Lara Ladybug from Digital Delights. The sketch that I used is from this week's challenge at Stamp With Fun.  The base of my card is black backed in red cardstock.  I added a block of white cardstock that I inked lightly around the edges with black ink.  Then I added a square of black cardstock backed in red ontop of the white.  I cut a strip of red cardstock and using the eraser end of a pencil and black ink I added dots to the red cardstock.  Before adding it to the card I added a piece of white cardstock to the bottom of the red strip.  I cut along the edge using scalloped scissors.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and backed it in red cardstock.  I lightly inked the edges of the red cardstock with black ink.  I backed the sentiment, "Sweet Hugs For The Birthday Bug!", in red and then in black and then again in white. Birthday For A Little One

I created this little girl birthday card using Lil Princess Tutu from Elisabeth Bell.  The sketch that I used is from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I created the base of my card by adding pink and brown striped paper to the bottom of the card and sassy cardstock to the top.  I punched a strip of mocha cardstock using an eyelet lace border punch and added a piece of brown ribbon to the top of it. I added it to the middle of the card.  I punched a scallop circle out of mocha cardstock and backed it in white and added it to the middle of the ard so that it just peeks out from behind the image.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I backed the image and sentiment in mocha then again in sassy and then again in white. The sentiment is from Digital Doodling and it says: "To our sweet little princess with much love and kisses."
