Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I created this Christmas card using Elisabeth Bell's Lil Lynda's Piano Forte digital stamp. I started with a light blue card base and added a piece of white card stock cut just slightly smaller.  I added light blue dot patterned paper to the top half and blue floral patterned paper to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir pens. I backed the image in light blue and then again in white and added it to the center top of the card.  I punched and layered a strip of white card stock and a piece of light blue card stock using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape and added it just below the image.  To create the flower I layered a light blue paper flower onto a white paper flower and added a glitter snowflake to the center.  I also added two silver bells hanging from the flower.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and backed them in light blue card stock.  I added 3 snowflake pearls to the upper corner by the image.

Birthday Card

This week's challenge at 2 Sisters Challenges is ANYTHING GOES.  To create my card I used this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp that was free in a magazine I just purchased.

To create my card I started with a kraft card base and layered a blue floral patterned paper on the top half of the card and a blue dot patterned paper on the bottom half of the card.  The patterned papers were also a free gift with the magazine.  I added a piece of kraft card stock and punched the bottom edge using an eyelet lace border punch.  I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape to the top of the piece of kraft card stock.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in light blue, kraft and then white.  I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and backed that in light blue and then kraft and added it to the bottom corner of the image.  I added 3 baby blue rhinestones to the upper corner of the image and crystal stickles to the center of the flower on her headband.  I then punched 3 butterflies out of light blue card stock and 3 more out of white and layered a blue onto a white.  I added crystal stickles to the butterflies and mini clear rhinestones to the center of each one.

Beary Big Hugs

I created this birthday card using Beary Big Hugs from Belles N Whistles.

To create my card I began with a 5x5 purple palisades card base.  I cut a piece of spring breeze a 1/4 inch smaller than the base and backed it in white card stock.  I cut a piece of purple star vellum, backed it in purple palisades card stock and added a sage green ribbon. I added that to the bottom of the card and added a white paper doily.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir and American Crafts Chromatix pens.  I backed the image in purple palisades and then again in white.  I added 4 mini purple rhinestones to the upper corner and 4 more to the opposite bottom corner. I layered white paper flower and a purple paper daisy. I fastened them together with a purple glitter brad and added them to the remaining bottom corner.

To finish off the inside of my card I cut a piece of spring breeze a 1/4 inch smaller than the base and backed it in white.  I cut a smaller square out of purple star vellum, backed it in purple palisades and then again in white and added it to center.  I cut a piece of white card stock, backe it in purple pasisades and then again in white and added to one side of the card. I stamped the sentiment "happy birthday" onto white card stock and backed it in spring breeze and added it to the top of the vellum square.

Thinking of you

Good afternoon! Today I want to share with you a card that I created for the guest designer call over at The Digi Bells DT blog.  The challenge was to create a card/project using any Elisabeth Bell image and add lace/ribbon.  The image I used is Willow with Flower Basket from Whiff of Joy. I added both paper lace and ribbon to my card.

The sketch that I used is from the challenge over at Whiff of Joy.  I decided to flip the sketch.

I created my card using three shades of blue card stock (waterspout, royal and blue lightening). I created the paper doily by punching around a circle (cut out of white card stock) using an eyelet lace corner punch. I added a piece of sheer blue ribbon across the center of the card. I added three sheer light blue ribbon roses that I won from a blog candy a few months ago.  I added a bow that I made out of the same ribbon I added across the card.

Here is my finished card. . . .

I punched down one side of the kraft card stock using an eyelet lace border punch.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils.  I backed the image and sentiment in dark aqua pearlescent card stock and then again in kraft card stock.  I added 3 white mini flowers down the side and added an aqua rhinestone to each flower.  I also added a larger flower that I created by layering an aqua daisy on top of a lighter and slightly larger aqua daisy.  To the center of that I added a small white flower with an aqua rhinestone in the center.

I Love You This Much!

I created this non-traditional Valentine card using this adorable Elisabeth Bell Digi called I Love You This Much.  I'm entering this card into the guest designer call at the Digi Bells DT challenge blog.  I used the sketch from this week's challenge at The Sweet Stop.  This week there was an additional spin to using the sketch.  The spin was to create a non-traditional Valentine.
I started with a chestnut brown card base.  I added a piece of celestial blue card stock cut just a little smaller than the card base.  I added a strip of light brown card stock that I backed in chestnut brown card stock.  Then I backed a piece of brown dotted paper in chestnut brown card stock. I added both pieces to the card.  I added a piece of brown ribbon across the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils. I backed the image and the sentiment in chestnut brown card stock.  I created a bow out of the brown ribbon and added it beside the image.  I added 3 brown pearls to the upper corner, 3 to the light brown strip, and 3 more to the sentiment.

Antique Bride

Hi! Today I am sharing with you my second card as a guest designer at Creative Stamp Friends. This week's challenge is to create something that is Old Fashioned or Antique.  The image I used is an Elisabeth Bell stamp from Elphine House called Kathy Bride And Little Kitty.

The sketch that I used is from this week's challenge at Deconstructed Sketches.  I began with a dusty
rose base.  I added pearl day patterned paper.  It looks a little darker in this photo than it actually is. It's more of a light cream color. Down the center of the card I added a strip of the pearl day patterned paper that I had backed in dusty rose card stock. I stamped the image onto white card stock and colored it using crayola and prisma color pencils and then backed it in dusty rose card stock and then in  the pearl day patterned paper and then again in the dusty rose card stock. I punched the bottom of the dusty rose using an eyelet lace border punch.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and then backed it in dusty rose card stock, then in pearl day patterned paper, and then again in dusty rose.  I added a rose pearl to both sides of the sentiment and then 3 more on the upper corner of the image.

Letters To Santa

I just love this Christmas image from Elisabeth Bell's digi stamp collection, called Letters To Santa.  I colored this image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I used all white card stock to create my card. The embossing is done using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots).  I added a piece of pink pearl ribbon across the center. I made a bow out of the same ribbon and added it to the side of the image.  I went lightly around the embossed piece and the image with crystal stickles. I also added some crystal stickles  to the snow on the image.  I finished it off by adding 3 pearls to the upper corner.

GDT Call @ Digi Bells DT

The Digi Bells Design Team is looking for their next guest design team.  The challenge this time around is to create a card/project using the provided sketch and any Elisabeth Bell image.  I love Elisabeth Bell's images so when I heard about this GDT call I just had to try out.  So here's the sketch . . . .

And here's the card I created using Lil Princess Tutu from Elisabeth's digi line . . . .

To create my card I started with a black 5" x 5" square card base. I cut a piece of lily pond card stock just a little smaller and distressed the edges with a black ink pad.  I cut a strip of black card stock and punched both sides using a lace heart border punch. Then added it going down the side of the card. I cut three 1" x 2" strips of purple card stock.  On the end of each I punched the middle using a corner rounder.  I inked the edges using a black ink pad and added a black heart to each one. (The black hearts are left from using the border punch.)  To each heart I added black glitter.  I then embossed a piece of white card stock using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots).  I inked the edges and added ink across all the embossing using the black inkpad.  I then back it in black card stock and added it to the center of the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I backed the image in black card stock and added black glitter to the vest, tutu and boots.  I added the image to the card center. Here's a closer view of the image. . . . .

I stamped the birthday sentiment on white card stock, inked around the edges and then backed it in black card stock.  I then added it to the upper corner of the image.  I punched a black heart using a scalloped heart punch and added black glitter.  I then backed it in purple, cut around it and added it to the bottom corner of the card. I finished it off by added a purple paper daisy with black pearl to the center of the glittered heart and two purple rhinestone hearts to the upper corner.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Fall

I created this fall card using this adorable digi image from Elisabeth Bell called I Love You This Much.  The base of my card is hunter green. I cut a piece of tan card stock just a little smaller than the base. I added a rectangle of brown card stock down the side.  I cut a strip of brown striped paper that I found in my box of scraps and backed it in burgundy card stock.  I cut along the bottom of the burgundy using scalloped scissors.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I backed the image in mustard yellow card stock and then again in hunter green card stock.  The sentiment is printed out off the computer using the font Blackadder ITC.  I punched out the sentiment using a 1 3/8 inch circle punch, backed it in burgundy card stock and cut around it using scalloped scissors. I added a couple diecut leaves and 3 burgundy pearls.
