Winter Color Challenge

Good morning! It's our last challenge of 2011 at 2 Sisters.  Our theme this week is WINTER COLORS.  We are looking for any combination of purple, blue, white & silver.  Our sponsor this week is Tracey from The Stamping Boutique.  For my card I used the image Happy Happy Snowman.

The base of my card is silver card stock.  I added a piece of dove flower card stock just slightly smaller than the base.  I cut a piece of soft lilac card stock and backed it in silver card stock. I stamped the sentiment onto the bottom of the lilac card stock. I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils.  I backed the image in silver card stock.  I punched a snowflake out of white card stock and added it to the bottom corner of the image and then punched a smaller snowflake out of silver card stock and added it to the center of the white snowflake.  I added silver stickles to all the silver card stock including the small snowflake and crystal stickles to the larger snowflake and to the image.  I added a light blue rinestone to the center of the snowflakes and 3 more to the upper corner of the lilac card stock.

2 Sisters Challenge ~ Christmas

This week at 2 Sisters we are challenging you to create a Christmas card/project. We are being sponsored this week by The Stamping Boutique. Tracey gave us this adorable image called The Fairies Frolic to use on our cards. Sorry about the quality of my photo. It didn't look so blurry when I took it. I made this card for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. Pink is her favorite color. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I added crystal stickles to it and pink rhinestones to the centers of the flowers. I back the image in pink and then white. I embossed the strip of white cardstock behind the image using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots). I backed all the pink cardstock in white and added crystal stickles to the white. I added a strip of white ribbon and added crystal stickles to the edges of the ribbon. I punched the sentiment using a 1 3/8 inch circle punch and backed it in pink and white and added crystal stickles to the white. I added 3 pink pearls to the bottom of the sentiment and 3 to the upper right corner.
