Joy This Christmas

Here is one more Christmas card using CC Designs Heidi With Ornament rubber stamp. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens.  To create this card I started with a lily pond green card base.  I added a piece of plaid purple patterned paper backed in white card stock.  I embossed a smaller piece of white card stock using a Cuttlebug dot embossing folder.  I backed the image in lily pond green card stock and added it to the top. Then I backed the sentiment that I typed on the computer in lily pond green card stock and added it to the bottom.  In between I added a sage green ribbon and bow.  I added crystal stickles to the pixies wings.

Halloween Candle

I created this candle to use as decoration at a harvest party we will be having tomorrow night at our church. This is my first try at decorating a candle.  I found this great tutorial on how to decorate a candle at Whiff of Joy.  You can see that tutorial by going here.   The image I used, Pippi, is from CC Designs.  I stamped the image onto a piece of white tissue paper.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  After coloring and cutting around the image I added it to the candle. I have a couple tips to help add the image to your candle. In the tutorial it says to use a heat gun.  My first tip is if you do not own a heat gun you can use a hair dryer in it's place. That is what I have done here.  Just be careful that you don't melt the candle too much.  My second tip is that you can hold the image in place with a piece of wax paper.  Just firmly hold the wax paper around the candle with the image in place underneath.  Make sure the waxy side of the paper is down and then add heat.

After I added the image to the candle I finished it by decorating it with three orange rhinestones and some orange baker's twine.  I also added some crystal stickles to the wings.

In my garden is a....

....cute little girl holding a sunflower.  Well, at least on my card that is.  This adorable stamp is Swiss Pixie Birgitta from CC Designs.  I colored her using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  My card base is marine blue. I added a piece of yellow gingham patterned paper cut a little smaller than the base and backed in white.  I cut the image out in an oval and backed it in marine blue. I then cut it out again using scalloped scissors (or as my 7 year old calls them...crazy scissors).  I added them image to the left side. Then I cut a strip of white cardstock and punched one side using an eyelet lace border punch from Martha Stewart Crafts.  I added a brown polka dotted ribbon and then added it to the right side.  I backed the sentiment in marine blue and added it to the top right.  I also added a blue flatback pearl to the top right corner and one to the bottom right corner.  I added a sunflower button to the bottom of the ribbon.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
