Angel Joy Fold Card

Hi! Hope you are all have a beautiful Sunday. We are on day 4 of the snowstorm that has been hitting New England this weekend. It is now just coming down in a light snow/rain mix right now. I I have a few cards to share with you that I made last night. This one is my very first Joy Fold card. The kids are due back to school tomorrow after being on Christmas vacation. They are both eager to go back but also want more time to play. So as long as the storm holds out as it is today or just goes away altogether they will be back into their normal routine tomorrow morning and off to school.

I spent most of the morning taking down my Christmas tree. My hubby informed me yesterday that the decorations had been up long enough and he was ready to tackle them this morning. So all is put away and my house is back in order again. Well sort of....I migrated my crafting area to our kitchen table over the past couple of weeks to give me a little more workspace. So I have bags and containers of crafting supplies all over my kitchen right now.

Now enough of my rambling and onto a few cards I want to share with you today that I made last night. This first one is my very first Joy Fold card. The image that I used is a new stamp that I just received a few days after Christmas from a challenge that I won on Stampin' Sisters in Christ. This stamp is from La La Land Crafts and is called Angel Lala. I added a little bit of glitter to her wing and halo. The sentiment is from a set of stamps that I bought in an after Christmas sale at AC Moore for just $2.50!
The gemstones that I used look very dark in these pictures but they are actually a pastel green. The designer paper is from Sandylion and is called Wedding Stripes. I didn't get a very good shot of the inside of my card. But I added a little bit of Bazzill Basics Berry Blush Carstock for a journaling spot on the inside of my card.

I created this card using the following 5 challenges:
Flutter By Wednesday: Angel, Fairy or Butterfly
Creative Card Crew: Anything Goes
ABC Christmas Challenge: A is for ANGEL
Dutch Dare: Joy Fold Card
Stamp Something: New Somethings (Angel Stamp & Sentiment Stamp)
Supplies: La La Land Crafts Angel Lala Stamp, Martha Stewart Small Clear Christmas Phrase Stamp Set, Studio G Glitter Glue, Sandylion Wedding Stripes Designer Paper, Bazzill Basics Berry Blush Cardstock & Nicole Crafts Green Gemstones.

hugs,
