Stamps Alive
Here is what owner Terri Olsen had to say:
I started my business in 1993 to give me something to do. I had worked all my life and recently quit to be a stay at home mom to my new baby. I've always been interested in paper products and I didn't like paying full price for some of the things I wanted. So I started my business. I like to pass my savings on to others. I've made some really good friends over the years. I've always been a small business I only advertise word of mouth. Over the years I've kept as busy as I wanted to be. It has been very interesting to see the hobby industry change over the years. I had a "scrapbook" store in my basement before Las Vegas knew what a scrapbook store was. I've dealt with Provo Craft the entire 17 years I've been in business and that has been fun, to watch them change!! The Cricut Messageboard has allowed me to expand my business but still do it "word of mouth". That baby is almost 17 (March) and will be graduating HS in 2011, I will be ready to be busier at that time! She uses my supplies more than I do, I have decided I'm a collector of everything. I have more fun selling and helping others than I do creating. Maybe someday, when times are slower or I'm not being a "Taxi Mom" I can create. Until then I collect! Right now I have some fo the new release Cricut Cartridges for $38 and getting ready to go to Winter CHA to check out some awesome items, including new releases of Nestabilities! Check out my blog for all my items that I sell and for more information!!

CUTTLEBUGS COMBO FOLDER....DAMASK.....$15 value!!!
For today's challenge we were able to choose any SMC digi stamp to work with. When I saw this cute image called Tayla Boo Boo (another one of Angela's cute digi stamps!) I just knew that I had to use it to make a get well card. But wouldn't you know in all my sentiments I don't have a stamp that says "get well" so I found the next best thing "thinking of you". I chose to use keep the layout of my card simple and used the colors sea foam and white. The sketch that I used on my card is from this weeks challenge at Rosie D's challenge blog.
I created the strip down the side of my card by punching on both sides of a strip of white card stock with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch, then repeated the process with a thinner strip of sea foam card stock. Gluing the green strip into the center of the white strip. Then I added a small piece of Offray Kendra White/Opal ribbon down the center of it. My sentiment is from Unity Stamp's Bevy of Butterflies stamp set. And I chose to cut out around Tayla and just have her free standing on my card. So I hope you enjoyed the card that I made for today.
