A Day of Firsts....

Today was the first day of school. So we are now back into our normal school routine. Up at 6 to catch the bus at 7. The kids were very excited this morning and it didn't take much to get them up and moving. (Let's hope I can be this lucky again tomorrow morning). But this being the first day of school was not the only first for today.....
This was Rebecca's first day of Kindergarten. She was very excited and had no problem leaving and going on the bus. I think this had alot to do with her going to Pre K last year. So riding the bus and going to school for almost a full day made her an old pro at this. But this was the first year that she got to ride the "big kid bus". She really enjoyed her day. Especially the 3 recesses that she had. She must have had fun because she wore herself out and fell asleep on the school bus on the way home. When the bus pulled up out front Thomas had to wake her up!!

Today was Thomas' first day of Middle School. It seems just like yesterday that I was putting him on the school bus for his first day of Kindergarten. They sure do grow up fast. He was quite excited about school today too. Things are a little different this year. He moves from room to room and has a locker for the first time. However I'm the one who ended up with the homework on the first day. I am to write a paper all about Thomas. I thought my days of homework were long over....guess not!!
My niece, Andrya, came over this morning to catch the bus with Thomas & Rebecca. This was her first day of High School. Can you tell she's excited.
