Happy Fall

I created this fall card using this adorable digi image from Elisabeth Bell called I Love You This Much.  The base of my card is hunter green. I cut a piece of tan card stock just a little smaller than the base. I added a rectangle of brown card stock down the side.  I cut a strip of brown striped paper that I found in my box of scraps and backed it in burgundy card stock.  I cut along the bottom of the burgundy using scalloped scissors.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I backed the image in mustard yellow card stock and then again in hunter green card stock.  The sentiment is printed out off the computer using the font Blackadder ITC.  I punched out the sentiment using a 1 3/8 inch circle punch, backed it in burgundy card stock and cut around it using scalloped scissors. I added a couple diecut leaves and 3 burgundy pearls.

Witching you....

Today is a new challenge day at 2 Sisters.  The challenge this week is to use gingham or plaid on your project.  We are being sponsored this week by Crafty Sentiments. The image I am using can be purchased as both a rubber stamp and a digital stamp.  This adorable image is called Annabel Pumpkin Witch.

The sketch that I used is from Cute Card Thursday.  The base of my card is black. I added a piece of orange cardstock to the top. I added faux stitching around the orange.  I added a piece of spiderweb cardstock to the bottom. I cut a circle out of green card stock, cut it in half, added faux stitching around it, backed it in black and cut around it with scalloped scissors. I added a halloween gingham ribbon across the middle. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils, added faux stitching around it and then backed it in black.  I printed the sentiment out on my computer and punched it out using a 1 3/8" circle punch. I backed it in black and cut around it using scalloped scissors.  I punched mini spiders out of black and added them all over the card.  I added a puffy bow made out of black tulle, added a pumpkin button to the middle of it and added it to the ribbon.

I finished the inside of my card by adding a piece of spiderweb card stock cut a little smaller than the card base. I typed the sentiment on the computer, added faux stitching around it and backed it in orange. I also backed a piece of white card stock in orange and added faux stitching to it. I added some more of the mini spiders all over the inside of the card. I always have trouble finishing off the insides of my cards (even though I love the way they look when it is done). So I am entering this card into the it's a hard theme challenge at Fab n Funky.

I cut a piece of hunter green a little smaller than the card base and backed it in white.  I added faux stitching around the hunter green using a white pen.  I added a white satin ribbon down the side.  I cut a rectangle out of red card stock and backed it in white. I added faux stitching around the red. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I cut the image in a circle. I backed it in hunter green and cut around it using scalloped scissors. I then backed it in white and cut around it again.  I stamped the word JOY on white card stock and punched it out using a circle punch. I added it to the card on a slight angle.  I cut a rectangle out of halloween sentiment paper. I also stamped a spider web in the corner and inked the edges.  Then I backed it in black card stock and added it to the bottom of the card.

It's A Man Thing

I created this guy's birthday card using this adorable image I just won from Karen's Doodles. The image is called What A Swing.  This image was a perfect match to the it's a man thing challenge at Totally Gorjuss. The sketch that I used is from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The base of my card is plaid card stock that I backed in brown.  Across the bottom I added a strip of olive green, tan and blue card stock. I cut across the bottom of the blue using scalloped scissors.  I added a brown ribbon.  I cut a rectangle out of blue card stock and backed it in brown.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils, cut it out in a rectangle and then backed it in brown.  I added three olive green pearls to the blue.  I also stamped the birthday sentiment right onto the blue.  I finished off the front of the card by adding a golf ball button to the ribbon.
I finished the inside of the card for this week's finishing touches challenge at Paper Sundaes. I added tan card stock to one side. To the other I added the plaid card stock backed in brown.  I cut a piece of white cardstock and backed it in olive green. I added a golf bag button.

Happy Fall

This is the card I created using this week's freebie from Designed 2 Delight.  The sketch I followed is from Sunday Sketch & Stamp.  The base of my card is brown.  For the 3 strips running down the card I used olive green, a brown striped patterned paper (from my box of scraps) and orange.  Around each strip I added faux stitching.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils, cut the image out in a square, added faux stitching and backed it in burgundy card stock.  For the sentiment I punched a 1 3/8" circle. On the circle I wrote the sentiment happy fall, added faux stitching, backed it in yellow card stock and cut around it using scalloped scissors.  I added burgundy pearls to the upper corner of the green and the lower corner of the orange. For You

I created this friendship card using Beary Big Hugs from Belles N Whistles. What a perfect image for the it's cuddle time challenge at Elphine House. The sketch that I used is from The Pink Elephant. The colors I used (brown and cornflower blue) are from the challenges at Inky Impressions and Crafts 4 Eternity.

It's time to play BINGO at Elisabeth Bell's World.  I used the middle row across...ribbon, lace and flowers.  I used a lace border punch for my lace (hope that was ok). I added a white ribbon with a smaller blue ribbon ontop of it. I also added a little of the blue ribbon to the sentiment tag.  The flowers are 2 blue paper flowers with a brown pearl in the center.
