1st Birthday Card

Wanna have some fun? Over on Facebook Forgotten Scraps is giving away a free custom build train for anyone who wants to have a little fun and help her color up some images.  She will build you a custom train, all you need to do is tell her if you want it for a boy or a girl, the age and how many links (up to 3) that you want.  You can find out more about it by clicking here to go to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Facebook Page.

I thought this would be lots of fun and I had to get in on this. And I wasn't disappointed. Check out this adorable image that she created for me to use!!  I have actually colored this image up twice since I received it last night.  And I know I'll be coloring it up some more this week.  For my choices for my image I decided on girl age 1 to make a first birthday card for my cousin's granddaughter.  But I do have to say that my image is perfect for either a girl or a boy.

 

To create my card I started with a brown card base.  I added a piece of bubble gum pink card stock that I backed in white card stock. Then I embossed a piece of light pink card stock using a dot embossing folder. I backed the embossed piece in brown card stock and then added a strip of white card stock that I punched using an eyelet lace border punch to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir Pens. I backed the image and the sentiment in bubble gum pink, brown and white card stock. I added diamond stickles to several areas of the image.
