Tilda Birthday

Hi everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog.  Today I have a birthday card to share with you. This one I created using Magnolia's Summer Flower Tilda rubber stamp.  I used sketch #1 from this month's challenge at Viva La Verve.

I started with a pink 5" square card base.  I added a piece of pink plaid patterned paper backed in gray card stock.  I cut 2 squares, one out of pink paper and one out of gray card stock and rounded the corners on both.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir markers, cut it out in an oval and backed it in pink paper.  Then I backed it in white and cut around it using scalloped scissors.  I cut 2 banners out of gray card stock.  I stamped the sentiment onto one and backed it in pink paper and then added them to the card.   I layered a white paper flower and a pink cherry blossom and added that to the banners.  I punched a leaf out of sage green card stock and 3 mini butterflies out of gray card stock.  I added 3 light pink gems to the upper corner of the card and diamond stickles to the fairy wings and the butterflies.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Spring Birthday With Tilda

I created this spring birthday card for a friend who celebrated her birthday this past Thursday.  The image I used is Summer Flower Tilda.

I added a piece of lime green dot patterned card stock to a piece of white wash green gate card stock and then added it to a white card base.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in white wash green gate and white card stock.

To create the flower I added a white glitter fabric daisy to a lime green paper flower and then added that to a white paper daisy.  I added a grass green rhinestone to the center.  I added a white feather behind the flower. I punched 3 branches out of white wash green gate card stock and added them in behind the flower. I added 3 rows of grass green rhinestones coming out from behind the feathers.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock, punched it out using a real estate punch, backed it in white wash green gate card stock and added 4 grass green rhinestones under the sentiment.  I punched 3 mini butterflies out of the white wash green gate card stock.  I added 1 to the sentiment, 1 to the image and 1 to the feather. I added stardust stickles to the butterflies, branches and to Tilda's wings.

Spring Birthday

I created this spring birthday card using Squishy Hugs stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I stamped the image on Spectrum Noir ultra smooth premium white card stock and colored it using Spectrum Noir pens. This was my first attempt at coloring on this type of card stock but I have to say I like it so much better. I just need to work a little more on my blending techniques.

To create my card I started with a 5" x 5" card base. I used the March sketch from Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog.  I added a piece of green gingham patterned paper backed in tapioca card stock.  I cut four 2" squares from yellow and white dot patterned card stock and backed each one in white card stock.

I cut the image out into a square and rounded the corners using a corner rounder punch.  I stamped the sentiment in the white space beside the image then backed it in tapioca and white card stock.

For the flower I layered a tiny yellow paper daisy onto two white fabric daisies. I added a green bubble gem to the center of the daisy and 3 more to the upper corner above the image and 3 more to the bottom corner below the image.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Tilda Lilac

I created this birthday card using Magnolia Stamps Tilda Lilac.

The sketch I used is from the current challenge at Cheerful Sketches (I rotated it).

The colors are from the challenge at Color Throwdown.

I started with a 5" x 5" card base.  I used 2 patterned papers....lavender rosebud and purple diamond plaid.  I also used white, lavender and lily pond card stock.  The flower is created by layering a small light purple paper daisy onto a purple paper flower and then I added those to a slightly larger white paper daisy and added a light purple gem to the center.  I punched 2 leaves out of lily pond card stock and added them "peaking" out from under the flowers.  For the strip across the bottom I layered a strip of lavender rosebud patterned paper that I backed in white card stock onto a piece of lavender card stock. I punched across the bottom using an eyelet lace border punch.  I added a white satin ribbon and a sheer orchid dot ribbon.  I also added a bow made out of the sheer ribbon.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in lavender card stock.  I added stardust stickles to the bottom of her dress.  I punched 3 tiny butterflies out of purple paper and added stardust stickles to them.  To finish the card I added 3 light purple gems to the upper corner of the lavender rosebud paper.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and backed it in lavender card stock.  I then added it to a piece of purple diamond plaid patterned paper that I backed in white and lavender card stock.  I added this to the inside of my card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Squishy Hugs

I just love this new stamp set (Squishy Hugs) from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I received my set this weekend. I inked it up and created this birthday card.  The sketch I used is the March sketch from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge.

I used the color challenge (pink, brown and turquoise) from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge.  I started with a brown (carob) card base.  I added a piece of turquoise card stock backed in white card stock.  I cut 4 pieces of pink plaid patterned paper. I backed each in brown (carob) and white card stock.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens. I cut part of the image out in a circle, backed it in brown (carob) card stock and cut around it using scallop scissors.  I layered a turquoise paper flower onto a white paper flower and added it to the bottom corner of the image.  I added a light pink gem in the center of the flower and 3 in both of the blocks of plaid paper at the top of the card. I stamped the sentiment "happy birthday to you" in the bottom block of  plaid paper. Here is my finished card....

Birthday Train

Hi everyone! Did you hear? The Little Miss Muffet Stamps Train Challenge has been extended over on Face Book. So I thought I would create another 1st birthday card using the custom train I was given. This time I created one for a boy. The sketch I used is from the challenge over on the  Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge blog.

The colors that I used are from the 300th challenge celebration over at Cupcake Inspirations.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens.

I started with a pool blue card base. I added a piece of blue and lime green plaid patterned paper backed in white card stock. Down the center I added a strip of lime green dot patterned card stock and then I punched a strip of white card stock using the cherish border punch from Martha Stewart.  I added a piece of blue star washi tape to the middle of the punched white strip and then added it down the middle of the lime green dot card stock.  I backed the image in pool blue and white card stock.

Hairy Situation

I created this birthday card using the sketch from the  Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

I started with a yellow card base.  I embossed a piece of white card stock using a star embossing folder and added it across the top of the card.  I then added a piece of hot pink card stock backed in white.  To the bottom of the hot pink card stock I added 3 strips of card stock. The first strip I cut a piece of yellow card stock and embossed it using the star embossing folder then backed it in white card stock. The next strip I punched the bottom of a hot pink strip of card stock using a star border punch.  For the third strip I added one of the hot pink stars to the bottom of a strip of white card stock.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens. I cut it in a circle and then backed it in yellow card stock before cutting around it using scallop scissors.

To create the flower I colored a white paper flower using a Spectrum Noir pen.  I added a white jellie to the center and two leaves punched out of white card stock.  I also added 3 white jellies to the hot pink card stock, 1 white jellie to the star on the hot pink tag and 3 hot pink jellies to the yellow embossed strip.  I finished my card by stamping the sentiment " happy birthday" at the bottom.

Tilda With Gift

Hi! Thanks so much for visiting.  Today I wanted to share with you this birthday card I created using Magnolia's Tilda With Gift rubber stamp.  For my color choice I used the photo inspiration "pop of pink" from The Shabby Tea Room.  I also used the bingo board from Totally Tilda & Friends. I ended up using more than just one line on the bingo board. I almost did a full house but I was missing 2 squares to achieve that.

I started with a 5 x 5 bubble gum pink card base.  I punched a 5 x 5 piece of white card stock using an eyelet lace border punch and an eyelet lace corner punch.  I embossed a piece of bubble gum pink card stock using a dot embossing folder and backed it in white and peach fuzz card stock. I added a piece of bubble gum seam binding across the bottom of the embossed card stock.

I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and then backed it in peach fuzz and white card stock. To create the flower I started with 2 dusty rose fabric flowers. I added a white paper flower and a mini pink and a mini light pink paper flower to the fabric flowers.  Then I added a baby pink gem to the center. I added a bow that I made using the bubble gum seam binding.  I also added a baby pink gem to the center of the bow.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and punched it out using a real estate sign punch.  I backed it in bubble gum pink card stock and added 3 baby pink gems under the sentiment.  I also added 3 more baby pink gems to the top corner of the embossed card stock.  I punched 3 mini butterflies out of peach fuzz card stock and added crystal stickles to them.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

1st Birthday Card

Wanna have some fun? Over on Facebook Forgotten Scraps is giving away a free custom build train for anyone who wants to have a little fun and help her color up some images.  She will build you a custom train, all you need to do is tell her if you want it for a boy or a girl, the age and how many links (up to 3) that you want.  You can find out more about it by clicking here to go to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps Facebook Page.

I thought this would be lots of fun and I had to get in on this. And I wasn't disappointed. Check out this adorable image that she created for me to use!!  I have actually colored this image up twice since I received it last night.  And I know I'll be coloring it up some more this week.  For my choices for my image I decided on girl age 1 to make a first birthday card for my cousin's granddaughter.  But I do have to say that my image is perfect for either a girl or a boy.

To create my card I started with a brown card base.  I added a piece of bubble gum pink card stock that I backed in white card stock. Then I embossed a piece of light pink card stock using a dot embossing folder. I backed the embossed piece in brown card stock and then added a strip of white card stock that I punched using an eyelet lace border punch to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir Pens. I backed the image and the sentiment in bubble gum pink, brown and white card stock. I added diamond stickles to several areas of the image.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
