Baby Gift

I created this blanket and photo frame for a friend who just recently had a baby. I just recently learned how to crochet. This is my 4th baby blanket.

To create the frame I just simply took a white frame that I purchased for $1.  I printed his name and the meaning of his name onto a piece of white card stock.  "Hezekiah" "Strengthened by God".  I backed it in blue card stock and added it to a piece of striped patterned paper that I cut to the size of the frame.  I added 3 punched stars to two of the corners of his name. Then added it to the frame.  Just a simple frame to add to his dresser.

I am entering this blanket and frame into the following challenges:

This week is the week long Christmas In July challenges at Catch The Bug.  I have been wanting to create a card  for each day of the challenge and was finally able to find time to create them today!  The first card that I am sharing with you is for day 1 which is the following sketch.

For this card I created a red and white card using Bobblehead Reindeer.  I started with a red card base and added a piece of white card stock cut just a little smaller than the base.  I cut a strip of red star patterned paper and added it down the side. I embossed a piece of white card stock using a dot embossing folder.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and backed it in red and then again in white.  I added 2 red and silver star stickers to the bottom corner of the image.  I added a red rhinestone to the silver star and a clear rhinestone to the red star.  I stamped the sentiment onto white  card stock and added a little color to it.

Angel

Hi everyone! Well, I'm late on my post today for our new challenge over at 2 sisters.  I forgot to set up the post last night and today I decided to have a yard sale with my mom and I've been running since 6 am.  So I'm a little late.

Our challenge this week is Christmas in July and our optional bonus is white on white. We are being sponsored by Digi Doodle Shop. Judy gave each of the design team an image to create with this week. I am using this gorgeous angel digi and decided to do this week's bonus.

Be sure to head on over to 2 Sisters and find out more about this week's challenge.  There is an added bonus for a chance at a monthly prize from The Crafting Boutique.

The Littlest Angel

I created this card for the guest designer call at Digi Bells DT Challenge Blog.  The theme to enter was to create a card using an Elisabeth Bell image and include both stars and stripes.  I decided to create a Christmas card using The Littlest Angel from Elisabeth's digi line.

I started with a pink card base. I added a piece of sage striped patterned paper.  I punched down both sides of a piece of pink card stock using a star border punch. I added a strip of white card stock that I embossed using a dot embossing folder. I also backed it in white card stock and added a pink dotted ribbon down the center.  I added that to one side of the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and backed it in pink and then again in white and added it to the opposite side of the card, overlapping just a little onto the strip of layered card stock. I added crystal stickles and frosted lace stickles to the image.  I layered a pink daisy onto a white flower and then onto a green flower.  I added a pink sprinkle to the center and then 2 more to the bottom corner under the image.
