Back To School

Good morning! I just wanted to share a couple photos of my kids heading back to school.  My daughter started 6th grade yesterday and my son started his Senior year today.

Good evening!! So I just had a big palm to forehead moment.  I was sitting here talking with my 11 year old daughter about the fact that school starts tomorrow.  Then it sinks in... she starts school on Tuesday which means today is Monday (palm to forehead). Monday is the day that the new challenge at House Mouse And Friends Monday Challenge posts. This means (because it is now 7pm here in Maine) that I have missed posting my last Guest Designer project!!! (AHHHH!!) Ok... deep breath...relax..so you're a little late.  Things happen.  It'll be ok.  So having said that I hope my project was well worth the wait........

Today's challenge is Back To School.  So since I don't have any school themed House Mouse stamps I decided to make a bookmark using this adorable new stamp that I bought during my last trip to Hobby Lobby. This image is called Blowing Bubbles.  Isn't it just one of the cutest images you've seen?!?! But then again House Mouse images are extremely adorable!!

I stamped the image directly onto Spectrum Noir Smooth card stock and colored it using Spectrum Noir pens.  I added strips of blue glitter washi tape. I backed it onto a piece of blue card stock.  Then I took a piece of white card stock slightly larger than the bookmark and covered the edges in the glitter blue washi tape and added it to the bookmark.

Flower Power

Hi! I am back with my next HMFMC Guest Designer card.  This week's challenge is FLOWER POWER.

The image is She Loves Me and I colored it using Spectrum Noir Pens.  I used a corner rounder on the image and an eyelet lace border punch for the lace.  The glittery silver is washi tape.  To add it around the image I simply took a square piece of card stock and added the washi tape to the edges, added the image to it and cut around it.  The flower is a purple glitter silver flower button layered onto a teal mini paper daisy and then layered onto a white paper flower.

Summer Stampin' Party Hop

 

Hi everyone! I couldn't help but make another card for the Krafty Friends Summer Stampin' Party. The image I used is Bambi Bubble Gum and colored her up using Spectrum Noir pens.

 

 

I used this week's color challenge at Just Us Girls.  The 3 colors I chose were turquoise, lime green and bright pink but I also used all 5 colors when I colored up my image.  These bright colors work great for a summer card.

House Mouse And A Friend

Hi everyone!  Today I get to share with you my next House Mouse and Friends Guest Designer card.  The theme is.......

House Mouse And A Friend 

I created a birthday card. I used 2 stamps for my card so I definitely have plenty of "friends" on there.   The images I used  are Birthday Cone and Hopeful Mouse.  I colored them up using Spectrum Noir pens.

Cupcake Inspiration Surprise!!

Hi! Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm so excited!! Why? Because today I finally get to share with you a card I created for Cupcake Inspirations as their Surprise Sweetie!!!

The challenge is to create a project using this week's photo inspiration. I want to reach right into this photo and eat these cupcakes! They look so yummy!! Think I might just have to bake some up. Although I'm not so sure mine would look this good.

The inspiration I used on my card is the colors and the stripes on the straw. It's hard to tell but the stripes are on the yellow card stock. The image I used is from The Greeting Farm and I colored it using Spectrum Noir Pens.

I combined card stock, ribbon, gems, buttons, diamond stickles and punching to finish the front of my card.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates for this week's Cupcake Inspiration challenge!!

HMFMC Guest Designer Card

Good morning!! I am so excited because today I get to share with you my first Guest Designer card for the challenge at House Mouse and Friends.

 I combined the image She Loves Me with today's sketch.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens.

I wanted to give the illusion that this adorable little mouse is being looked up at from below so I added a cloud background using a light blue ink pad and a cloud stencil. Then I embossed a piece of white card stock using a cloud embossing folder and cut out a couple of the clouds.
