Christmas Angel

I created this Christmas card using Christmas Angel from Saturated Canary.

I started with a blue card base. I added a piece of pastel blue card stock cut just slightly smaller than the base.  I cut a strip of pastel blue card stock and backed it in blue card stock and punched one side of the blue using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape to it and added it to the side of the card. I cut another piece of pastel blue card stock and backed it in blue and added it across the middle. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and cut it out in an oval. Then backed it in blue card stock and cut around it using scallop scissors.  I added 3 snowflakes. I added crystal stickles and blue rhinestones to the snowflakes. I added silver stickles to the ornaments on the image and crystal stickles to her wings.

Birthday Wishes

I created this birthday card using Tilda With Gift from Magnolia Stamps.

I started with a dark green card base. I added a piece of green card stock cut just a little smaller than the base.  I cut a piece of white card stock just a little smaller than the green piece.  I inked the edges with a pastel pink chalk ink pad.  I embossed a strip of green card stock and backed it in dark green card stock. I punched one edge of the dark green using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of green gingham ribbon across the middle of the card.  The image is colored using crayola and prisma colored pencils and then cut out in an oval. I inked around the edges just like I did the white background piece and then backed it in dark green card stock and cut around it using scalloped scissors.  The sentiment is stamped on white card stock and I inked the edges and backed it in dark green card stock.  I added 2 pink paper flowers and leaves to the bottom corner of the image and added a white pearl to the center of each one. I also added white pearls on the other bottom corner of the image, the upper corner of the card and to the sentiment. I also added a white pearl heart to the sentiment. Then added a bow made out of the gingham ribbon to teh side of the image to finish off the card.

Rosie With Cake

I created this birthday card using Rosie With Cake from Lili of the Valley stamps.

I started with a gray card base. I added a piece of green card stock cut just a little smaller than the card base, backed it in white and then added it to the card base.  I cut a square out of pink card stock, backed it in white and added it to the top corner. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I backed it in gray and then in white before adding it to the card. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white card stock and backed it in gray card stock and then again in white.  I layered white and pink paper flowers and added a green glitter star button in the center.  I added crystal stickles to the image (skirt and headband).  I added 3 white pearls to the pink card stock square.

You Are In-Bited....

I spent today making invitations for my daughter's birthday party.  She will be turning 9 on the 17th.  This year she wants a Monster High birthday party.  So of course I decided to make invitations. I went online and found coloring pages and other Monster High printables. Then after printing everything out today I sat down and created the invitations that we needed.

I made two different invites. One pink and black with Draculara on it and the other blue and black with Frankie Stein on it.  For both invitations I started with a black card base. I cut a piece of black dotted patterned paper and backed it in either pink or blue card stock.  I added a piece of Monster High digital patterned paper that I found online to the bottom of the cards.  I added a piece of glitter ribbon above the Monster High paper.  Each of the images are a coloring page that I found online. Instead of coloring the images by hand I colored them in a paint program on the computer.  I cut and backed them in black and then again in either pink or blue card stock.  I printed out a monster high banner that I added the words "You are in-bited" to and cut it completely out.  I added it to the invitation using foam dots.  I didn't take a photo of it but on the inside I added the information for the party that I had printed out on white card stock and backed in either pink or blue card stock.

Pastel Christmas

It's time for another challenge over at 2 Sister's Challenges.  This week we are being sponsored by the Stitchy Bear Stamps Store.  The challenge is to create a project using the theme of Pastel Christmas.

To create the card I started with a pastel blue card base. I punched a strip of white card stock using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape across the top of the strip of white card stock.  I colored the image, Ice Princess, using crayola and prisma color pencils. I backed the image in pastel blue card stock and then again in white card stock.  I punched snowflakes out of white card stock and mini snowflakes out of blue card stock and layered them. I added diamond stickles to the snowflakes and to the image. I added blue rhinestones to the center of each snowflake and to the center of the head band.  I added two mini clear rhinestones to the bottom of the ribbon on her dress.
