Thinking of you

Good afternoon! Today I want to share with you a card that I created for the guest designer call over at The Digi Bells DT blog.  The challenge was to create a card/project using any Elisabeth Bell image and add lace/ribbon.  The image I used is Willow with Flower Basket from Whiff of Joy. I added both paper lace and ribbon to my card.

The sketch that I used is from the challenge over at Whiff of Joy.  I decided to flip the sketch.

I created my card using three shades of blue card stock (waterspout, royal and blue lightening). I created the paper doily by punching around a circle (cut out of white card stock) using an eyelet lace corner punch. I added a piece of sheer blue ribbon across the center of the card. I added three sheer light blue ribbon roses that I won from a blog candy a few months ago.  I added a bow that I made out of the same ribbon I added across the card.

Here is my finished card. . . .

Here is another card I created using this week's sketch from Simon Says Stamp.

I started with a marine blue card base.  I added a piece of red card stock backed in white card stock.  I added a strip of red gingham patterned paper down the side.  I punched a strip of white card stock using an eyelet lace border punch and added a turquoise  dotted ribbon to it and added it across the middle of the card.  I stamped the sentiment "happy birthday" onto a piece of white card stock and backed it in marine blue card stock.  The image I used is To Grandmother's House from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored it using crayola and prisma colored pencils.  I added 3 turquoise  rhinestones to the corner of the image and 3 more to the bottom of the gingham strip.

Wonderful Birthday

Hi everyone! I'm back with yet another card tonight.  I'm so behind on posting and I'm trying to catch up a little.

The image I used on this card is from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called Angelina's Balloons.

The sketch that I used is from this week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

I started with a purple card base.  I cut a piece of soft lilac card stock just a little smaller than the base.  I added a strip of purple speckled patterned paper that I backed in purple card stock and added it down the side of the card.  I embossed a square piece of soft lilac card stock using a dot embossing folder and backed it with purple card stock.  I added a piece of purple dotted ribbon to a piece of purple shiny ribbon and added them across the middle of the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and backed it in purple card stock.  I cut the sentiment out in a circle, backed it in purple card stock and then cut around it with scallop scissors.  I made a bow out of the shiny purple ribbon and added 3 purple pearls to the embossed square.  I also added purple glitter glue on her shoes.

So here is my card.....
