Spotty Stripy Christmas

My card below features Eggbert Winter from Bugaboo Stamps. I just love this image. He's so cute and so much fun to color. This time I chose to color him in one of my favorite colors (sage green). If you are a regular visitor to my blog than you already know that I love adding sparkle to my Christmas cards. And of course I added some to this one too. I started my card by covering the top half in lilypond cardstock and the bottom half in sage stripe patterned paper. I added a strip of lilypond cardstock to the middle section of the striped paper. I then punched out the drippy goo border in white and added a some green & white dotted ribbon to it. I added diamond stickles above the ribbon and to the bottom punched border. I backed my image in lilypond and white cardstock. I added stickles to the image and to the white cardstock around the image and the sentiment. I then punched large snowflakes out of white cardstock and small snowflakes out of green. I added the smaller to the larger and added stickles to it and then a green pearl in the center. Then I finished it off with some green pearls into the upper right corner.

The challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is called blast from the past. The challenge is to create a card/project using one of their past challenges. I chose to use challenge #37 ~ snowflakes.

Tag It With Kenny K

This is my take on this week's tag it challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz. The image I used is called All That. I started off by taking a brown tag and added a piece of striped cardstock to it. I then used my scissors and distressed the edges and top of the tag and added a little brown ink using a foam makeup wedge. Then I added the image to a piece of pale blue cardstock and distressed the edges in the same way and added it to the tag. Then I added a piece of pale blue ribbon across the top of the patterned paper and tied a piece through the top of the tag. I also added a little brown ink to the ribbon. I used a blue and a green paper flower and added brown ink to them both. Then I finished it all off by added pearls.

Kenny K's is having a DT call!!!

Kenny K's is having a DT call and I've decided to apply!! Check out their challenge blog. I love, love, love their fun and sassy images. To enter you need to post at least 2 of your favorite cards showing what your style is. It was so hard to pick which ones I wanted to show. These are my 2 favorite Kenny K cards that I've made.

For my first card I used All That. This is the card I made for my niece's birthday in January. I love making things sparkly so I added stickles to the roses and to the hat and pants on the image.
On my second card I used Download Diva. Two more of my favorite embellishments are gemstones and punches.

Sketch With A Spin...

This is the card I made for this week's sketch with a spin challenge at The Sweet Stop. The spin was to decorate the inside of the card. This is the sentiment that I added to the inside.

Here is my card:

The stamp I used is Snowman with Snowflake from Magnolia Stamps. The colors I used are light teal and reflecting pool. I added diamond stickles to the snowflakes, white cardstock and image. The 3 punches I used are snowflake (Martha Stewart), snowflake corner (Martha Stewart) and snowflake border (Martha Stewart). I used the corner punch to get a smaller snowflake. I punched the smaller snowflakes in both light teal and reflecting pool and the larger snowflakes in white. I embossed the background using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots).

This is my card for the design team inspiration challenge at Stamptacular Sunday. I took inspiration from Danielle's card. I used the shades of purple and the sketch she used. I even used the bow and purple flowers. However I chose to make mine into a Christmas card.

I added crystal stickles to the bow, roses, around the image, snowflakes and ice on the image. I also added white pearls to the center of each snowflake. Snowman

This image from Magnolia Stamps is one of my favorite stamps. I absolutely love snowmen and have a small collection that I put out every Christmas. I love how this card turned out. At first I wasn't sure about my color choice but it didn't take too long before I was happy with the white, black and teal combination I had chosen. The sketch that I used is from Create 4 Fun. The challenge at Magnolia Down Under is to make your own embellishments. I created my embellishments using 2 different sized Martha Stewart snowflake punches. I punched the larger in white and the smaller in teal. I added crystal stickles and a white pearl to each one. I also used the Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch on the strip of white across my card. I added crystal stickles to it to give it the look of icicles. I also added stickles to all the white cardstock backing the black and teal. Then added stickles to the image and around the sentiment. Can you tell I love glitter? I actually think I used almost a full bottle of stickles making just this one card.

Bugaboo Stamps DT Call

I love Bugaboo stamps so when I read that they were having a DT call I knew I just had to enter. You might notice all 3 of the cards I am entering from previous posts. The first card is a birthday card featuring Gentle One from the Har Repotter series. This was a freebie a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to make a card with it. I just love Harry Potter (as do my kiddos) and I love how this card turned out, simple yet with so much detail. I knew it was the perfect card to enter into this DT call. For my next card I used this winter image from Karen's Doodles. As you can see by this card I love using glitter on my cards. I even added glitter to the ribbon on this one.
For my third project I used a stamp from Magnolia Stamps. I created a 4 drawer box with an easel card on top.
As you can see my crafting style varies. I love learning new techniques and styles and will always try something at least once. More information about this DT call can be found here. Bugaboo is also offering 50% off all digis during the month of November. So even if you're not entering into the DT call take a moment to check out the Bugaboo store and all the amazing items. There's definitely something for everyone. In case I'm one of the lucky ones chosen to move to the second round my email is: myscraphappylife@live.com.
