I created this birthday card for a friends son who just turned one last week. I used Pirate Bear from Lili of the Valley stamps.
I started with a black card base. I added a piece of red plaid patterned paper to the bottom of the card and to small pieces to the upper corner. I punched a strip of white card stock using a bubble bath border punch. I added a piece of black ribbon and a piece of black baker's twine to the top of the strip of white card stock. I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils. I cut the image and the sentiment out in a circle and backed them both in red card stock. I cut around each of them using a pair of scallop scissors. I added two white pearls to the upper corner and two to the opposite bottom corner.
