Darling Dasies

This week's challenge at 2 Sisters is anything goes. There are 2 sponsors this week... Doodle Dragon Studios and Floppy Latte Designs.  The image I used on my card is called Darling Dasies and is from Floopy Latte Designs.

I started with an aqua card base. I embossed a piece of white card stock just slightly smaller than the base. I added a piece of aqua striped paper to the bottom and added a ribbon to the top of it. I embossed a second piece of white card stock and backed it in aqua. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and added it to the smaller embossed piece.  I colored 3 white pearls using a Spectrum Noir BT5 pen and added them to the bottom corner of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

2 Sisters Challenge ~ Distressing

This week at 2 Sisters we are being sponsored by Sitchy Bear Stamps and the challenge is DISTRESSING.  Distressing is not one of my favorite things so I don't do it very often. So that's probably why I found this challenge to be a little difficult for me.  But in the end I'm very excited about how my card turned out.  The image that I used for my card is from Floppy Latte Designs and is called Guarding The Egg.  I colored this image using crayola colored pencils.  For the distressing I tore around the image and each piece of cardstock.  I sponged around the edges of each using brown ink and then lightly on the very edges using black ink. The look that I was going for was a burnt look which I feel in the end I was able to achieve.  I added 3 brown pearls to the upper right corner and stamped the sentiment right onto one of the cardstock blocks.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

The Pixie Cottage: Sketch and One For The Boys

Papertake Weekly: Anything Goes

Top Tip Tuesday: Open Challenge
