For You

I created this friendship card using Beary Big Hugs from Belles N Whistles. What a perfect image for the it's cuddle time challenge at Elphine House. The sketch that I used is from The Pink Elephant. The colors I used (brown and cornflower blue) are from the challenges at Inky Impressions and Crafts 4 Eternity.

It's time to play BINGO at Elisabeth Bell's World.  I used the middle row across...ribbon, lace and flowers.  I used a lace border punch for my lace (hope that was ok). I added a white ribbon with a smaller blue ribbon ontop of it. I also added a little of the blue ribbon to the sentiment tag.  The flowers are 2 blue paper flowers with a brown pearl in the center.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Happy Birthday Stacy

Today is my sister Stacy's birthday. This is the birthday card I made for her using Beary Big Hugs from Belles N Whistles. I used the sketch from this week's challenge at The Sweet Stop. I decided to change the sketch a little by tilting the image and adding the sentiment to the bottom of the card instead of beside the image. The base of my card is sugar n spice (pink) backed in black. I added a block of pink and white stripped paper and a block of pink and white dotted paper both backed in black. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colore pencils. I backed the image in sugar n spice and then again in black. Then punched the edge of the black behind the image using an eyelet lace border punch. I added black pearls to the corners of the image. I added stickles to the shoes, bear's bow, hair bow and to the headband on the image. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado. I backed the sentiment in black and added a white heart pearl with a black pearl on either side. I added three white heart pearls to the upper corner of the card. To create the flower I layered four sheer pink fabric flowers and added crystal stickles to the edges and to the center and added a black pearl to the center. I am also entering this card into the following challenges: Crafty Sentiments: Glitter It Up Teddy Stampers: Me & My Teddy Birthday Sundaes: Photo Inspiration Craft Your Days Away: Spots & Stripes Catch The Bug: 4 or More Layers Ann's Creative Nook: Anything Goes Pile It On: Say It In Style Craft Your Passion: 2 x 2 Colour Create: Pink, Blac & White By The Cute & Girly: Cute & Girly Fresh Brewed: Flowers Supplies Used: Image: Belles N Whistles Beary Big Hugs Clear Rubber Stamp Sentiment: Inkadinkado Expressions Frame Clear Rubber Stamp Set Paper: White Cardstock, Black Cardstock, Coredinations Sugar n Spice Cardstock, Pink & White Stripped Paper, Pink & White Dotted Paper Embellishments: Queen & Company Black Pearls, Annabelle Stamps 6 mm White Heart Pearls, tickles Crystal Glitter, Pink Sheer Fabric Flowers Tools: EK Success 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Border Punch Other: Crayola Colored Pencils, Prisma Colored Pencils

Elisabeth Bell's Biggest December Blog Candy Giveaway

Have you heard about the big blog candy giveaway from Elisabeth Bell? With the help of Belles n Whistles, SCACD and Whiff of Joy, Elisabeth is giving away 38 stamps to one lucky winner. For a chance to win you need to create a project using one of Elisabeth's stamps. I created a corner bookmark using Beary Big Hugs from Bells n Whistles. This is the first time I have made a corner bookmark. I can't wait to get going on my next one. The base of my bookmark is navy blue cardstock. I punched the bottom using the lace heart border punch from Martha Stewart. The top triangle of my bookmark is covered in white cardstock, leaving just a thin strip of the navy blue showing. I added a strip of patterned paper (blue with white dots) just below the white cardstock and added a strip of light blue ribbon to cover the seam the two papers created. I stamped my image out and colored it using crayola and prisma colored pencils. Then I cut the top portion of the stamped image using a circle template. I layered the image on navy blue, then white and then finally blue. I added a large blue paper flower and a smaller blue paper flower and a bow made out of the light blue ribbon. to the right corner just beside the image. I added crystal stickles to the edges of the ribbon, bow, flowers, to the image, on the cardstock backing the image and to the dots on the patterned paper.

My daughter has already asked if she can have this bookmark. We got her some books for Christmas so I think that I will give it to her after she opens up her books.
