Birthday Wishes

I made this birthday card using from Kitty Kitten from Di's Digi Downloads. The base of my card is pink and white striped patterned paper backed in pastel yellow cardstock. I added a strip of floral patterned paper and added a strip of pastel yellow that I punched using an eyelet lace border punch. I colored the image using crayola colored pencils and cut it out in a circle. I backed it in pastel yellow and cut it out using scallop scissors. I added three yellow paper daisies and added a white pearl heart to the center of each. I added a butterfly that I punched out of berry blush cardstock and added two white pearls. I also added pearls at the bottom of the strip of floral patterned paper and the sentiment to the bottom corner.

A Monochromatic Birthday Card

This is the birthday card that I made for my sister, Jessica. The sketch that I used is from this months challenge at Crafting Life's Pieces. The image that I used is called Brooklyn Babe from Kenny K Downloads. The base of my card is created by taking a square of white cardstock and inking the edges using a pastel pink chalk inkpad and then backed it in berry blush cardstock. I punched the bottom of a strip of white cardstock using an eyelet lace border punch and then inked the edges using the same ink pad. I cut and embossed a strip small square of white cardstock using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots) and then inked the edges and lightly across the top of the dots with the same inkpad. Then I cut a strip of white cardstock and inked the edges in the same way. Then I stamped the birthday sentiment on the bottom side of the strip of cardstock. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I inked the edges in the same way as the rest of the card. I added three pink sprinkles from Annabelle Stamps to the upper right corner.

For The Boys

This is my take on this week's Mystery Monday challenge at Club Anya & Friends. The image I used is from the Happy Day Stamp Set from The Greeting Farm. The base of my card is spring breeze backed in chestnut brown. I added brown chalk to the edges of the spring breeze. I cut strips out of white, spring breeze and pastel blue and added brown chalk to the edges of each. Then backed each one in chestnut brown. I also added brown chalk to the edges of the image and sentiment and backed it in chestnut brown. I added brown chalk to the blue chipboard star (it's hard to see in this photo) and added it to the upper corner of the card.

Hippity Hop

I created this card using Wanna Be Bunny Girl from Sassy Cheryls. I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils and finished the background of the image using blue and green chalk. For the base of my card I took a square piece of white cardstock and inked the edges using a pastel pink chalk ink pad and then backed it in pastel pink cardstock. I cut a strip of white cardstock and emossed it using a cuttlebug embossing folder (dots). I then inked the edges using the pastel pink chalk ink pad and backed it in pastel pink cardstock. I punched along a strip of pastel pink cardstock using an eyelet lace border punch and added a piece of light pink and white dotted ribbon to the top of it. I backed the image in pastel pink cardstock. I cut the pink swirls from a strip of felt swirl embellishment. I created the sentiment in the same way as the background. I created the flower by using a retro flower punch. I punched five flowers out of white cardstock and inked the edges using the pastel pink chalk ink pad. Then I layered each flower on top of each other and added a pink rhinestone to the center. I curled each petal to give it more dimension. I finished off the card by adding pink rhinestones.
