Matthew 1:21

I have one more Christmas card to share with you tonight.  I created this card using a freebie from Word Art Wednesday.  I started with a sage green card base.  I embossed a piece of white card stock using my Sizzix and a dot embossing folder and backed it in sage green card stock and then again in white card stock.  I added this to the card base.  I printed the freebie out on white card stock and backed it in sage green card stock then added it to the center of the card.  From white card stock I punched branches using a Martha Stewart branch punch and from sage green card stock I punched stars using a star punch from EK Success. I layered 2 branches and 1 star in the upper left corner and lower right corner of the sentiment.  I added a pearl to the center of each star and added crystal stickles to the stars and branches.

Blue & White Christmas

One of my favorite color combinations at Christmas time is blue and white.  To create this card I started with a blue card base. Using my Sizzix machine I embossed a piece of white card stock with a dot embossing folder and a smaller piece of white card stock using a snowflake embossing folder.  I added the dot embossed piece to the card base. I backed the snowflake embossed piece with blue card stock and added it to the center of the card. I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and punched it out using the real estate sign punch from EK Success.   I colored the stars using Spectrum Noir pens and backed the sentiment in blue card stock. I added the sentiment to the center on the snowflake embossed piece.  I punched a snowflake from white card stock using a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and a smaller snowflake from blue card stock using a Martha Stewart snowflake corner punch.  I layered the snowflakes and added them to the bottom corner of the sentiment added a pearl to the center.  I added crystal stickles to the snowflakes and to the stars on the image.

Cold and Frosty Christmas Card

For this Christmas card I started with an aqua base cut to open at the bottom.  I added a piece of white card stock to the top and a piece of aqua dot patterned paper to the bottom.  I punched a strip of aqua card stock using the Doily Lace Edge punch from Martha Stewart.  I added it across the card and added a white ribbon and bow across the top of it.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the white card stock and colored the stars with Spectrum Noir pens.  I added pearls to the bottom corner and added crystal stickles to the sentiment.

Snow Buds

For my very first post of 2015 I would like to share with you a card that I created using Snow Buds digital stamp from Pollycraft.  I started with a card base that would open from the bottom instead of the side. ( I have a habit of creating cards that all open from the side and I'm trying to break myself of this habit.) I added a piece of Christmas patterned paper backed in a red pearl card stock to the card base.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens. (The tan on the image looks like it has more of an orange tint to it in this picture than the actual card does.) I backed the image in a red pearl card stock.  I punched a small snowflake using a Martha Stewart snowflake corner punch, added a pearl to the center and placed it in the corner of the image. I also added crystal stickles to the snowflake and a little to the image. I finished off my card by adding 3 pearls under the image.

I also added 3 snowflakes below the image and 1 to the upper corner of the image. I added a baby blue rhinestone to the center of each snowflake.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I know I'm a few days late on that.  Over the past couple of weeks we have had several snow/ice storms. Due to those storms we have been dealing with power outages and internet issues.  We had yet another one last night and they are calling for another on Thursday!!! I'm definitely ready for summer!!

I have a few cards that I recently made but haven't had a chance to post yet.  Here is the first one that I created using Magnolia's Snowy Hugs Tilda stamp.  This is one of my most favorite Magnolia Stamps. I colored this adorable image using Spectrum Noir pens.  I added glitter to the base of the snowman and the top of his broom and white flocking to both hats.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I created this Christmas card using Elisabeth Bell's Lil Lynda's Piano Forte digital stamp. I started with a light blue card base and added a piece of white card stock cut just slightly smaller.  I added light blue dot patterned paper to the top half and blue floral patterned paper to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir pens. I backed the image in light blue and then again in white and added it to the center top of the card.  I punched and layered a strip of white card stock and a piece of light blue card stock using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape and added it just below the image.  To create the flower I layered a light blue paper flower onto a white paper flower and added a glitter snowflake to the center.  I also added two silver bells hanging from the flower.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and backed them in light blue card stock.  I added 3 snowflake pearls to the upper corner by the image.
