I Love You This Much!

I created this non-traditional Valentine card using this adorable Elisabeth Bell Digi called I Love You This Much.  I'm entering this card into the guest designer call at the Digi Bells DT challenge blog.  I used the sketch from this week's challenge at The Sweet Stop.  This week there was an additional spin to using the sketch.  The spin was to create a non-traditional Valentine.
I started with a chestnut brown card base.  I added a piece of celestial blue card stock cut just a little smaller than the card base.  I added a strip of light brown card stock that I backed in chestnut brown card stock.  Then I backed a piece of brown dotted paper in chestnut brown card stock. I added both pieces to the card.  I added a piece of brown ribbon across the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils. I backed the image and the sentiment in chestnut brown card stock.  I created a bow out of the brown ribbon and added it beside the image.  I added 3 brown pearls to the upper corner, 3 to the light brown strip, and 3 more to the sentiment.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Monkey Toes

I created this card as more inspiration for our embossing challenge at 2 Sisters.  I used this cute monkey image from Meljens called Monkey Toes.

I started with a kraft base.  I embossed a piece of pink card stock using a dot embossing folder. I punched a strip of kraft card stock with an eyelet lace border punch. I added a sheer pink dot ribbon to it and added it across the middle of the card.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils.  Then cut the image and sentiment out in a circle, backed them both in pink and then in white.  Then cut around them with scalloped scissors.  I added a pink dot button and a bow made out of the same sheer dot ribbon. I added a pink rhinestone to the top corners of the punched strip.  Then I added mini pink rhinestones to the image and to the sentiment.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Antique Bride

Hi! Today I am sharing with you my second card as a guest designer at Creative Stamp Friends. This week's challenge is to create something that is Old Fashioned or Antique.  The image I used is an Elisabeth Bell stamp from Elphine House called Kathy Bride And Little Kitty.

The sketch that I used is from this week's challenge at Deconstructed Sketches.  I began with a dusty
rose base.  I added pearl day patterned paper.  It looks a little darker in this photo than it actually is. It's more of a light cream color. Down the center of the card I added a strip of the pearl day patterned paper that I had backed in dusty rose card stock. I stamped the image onto white card stock and colored it using crayola and prisma color pencils and then backed it in dusty rose card stock and then in  the pearl day patterned paper and then again in the dusty rose card stock. I punched the bottom of the dusty rose using an eyelet lace border punch.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and then backed it in dusty rose card stock, then in pearl day patterned paper, and then again in dusty rose.  I added a rose pearl to both sides of the sentiment and then 3 more on the upper corner of the image.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Tilda Love

I created this valentine card using Tilda With Bow.  The sketch that I used is from this month's CLP challenge

I started with a red card base.  I embossed a piece of white card stock just slightly smaller than the base using a dot embossing folder.  I added a small piece of mini heart patterned paper to the middle of the card.  I cut two corner pieces out of black using scallop scissors.  I cut a strip of red striped paper and added it across the center of the card.  To that I added a piece of sheer black ribbon.
I colored the image using crayola and prisma colored pencils. I cut it out in a rectangle and backed it in red card stock and then again in black card stock. I added it at an angle in the middle of the card.
I added the love sentiment cut out of a piece of patterned valentine sentiment paper.  I made a bow out of the same black sheer ribbon and added it along with a double heart charm and some white paper mini rose buds.  I then added 3 berry red pearls to the upper corner.

Curtsy

I wanted to show you this easel birthday card that I created today using Curtsy from Sugar Nellie.  I actually forgot about this stamp.  I was digging through a pile of stamps just looking for that perfect stamp to use when I came across this little cutie.  So of course I needed to ink her up and here's what I came up with . . . . . .
The sketch is from this week's challenge at The Sugar Bowl.  I decided to go with a red and white theme. I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils. Then cut the image out in an oval, backed it in red card stock and cut around it with scallop scissors.

The embossing is done using a  cuttlebug dot embossing folder. I punched the monarch butterflies out of red card stock. I added 3 white pearls to the center of each one and then added garnet red glitter glue to the wings.

Thanks

Here is a thank you card I created using Tilda Picking Lilacs from Magnolia Stamps.

I started with a dove flower card base. I added a piece of white card stock that I embossed using a cuttlebug dots embossing folder.  I cut a piece of light orchid ribbon and added it to the center of the embossed card stock.  I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils.  I cut the image out in an oval, backed it in wisteria card stock and then cut it out using scallop scissors.  I created a bow using the same light orchid ribbon and added it to the upper corner of the image.  To the opposite bottom corner I added 3 purple paper daisies and some leaves I punched out of sage green cardstock.  I added purple pearls to the center of each flower.  I stamped the thanks sentiment directly onto the card.  Then I punched 2 monarch butterflies, one out of sage green and the other out of dove flower.  To the dove flower butterfly I added 3 light blue pearls and to the sage green I added 3 light green pearls.

Winter

Today I get to share with you my very first card as guest designer at Creative Stamp Friends.  I am so excited as I will be a guest designer for the months of January, February and March!!! How cool is that!!  So this week the challenge theme is WINTER.  The image I used, Christmas Bunny, is from Wee Stamps.

I started with a white card base.  To it I added layers of light blue and white card stock.  The embossing is done by using a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder. I colored the image using crayola and prisma color pencils.  I punched snowflakes out of white card stock and mini snowflakes out of light blue card stock.  To get the finished look of each snowflake I layered a light blue snowflake on top of a white snowflake. I added crystal stickles and a white pearl to the center.  I also added crystal stickles to all the white card stock (except the embossed piece), and to the snow on the image. I added carrara marble glitter glue to the fur on the hat. I finished the card by adding 3 white pearls to the upper corner.

The glitter that I added to the hat was part of the Martha Stewart glitter glue set that my kiddos got me as a Christmas gift.  This was the first time that I have used this brand of glitter glue and I LOVE IT! I can't wait to use it again. LOL.
